Job summary

Cuyahoga Community College is seeking Student Ambassadors to help fellow students navigate college systems, resources, and processes. You will assist during peak periods and support campus events, including open houses and college fairs, while providing campus tours and referrals. Flexibility to work evenings weekends is required.

As a current Tri-C student, you will gain leadership experience, strengthen communication and teamwork, and promote student success across Eastern Campus activities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled student at Tri-C with minimum progression in credits.
• Maintains GPA at or above 2.5 and ongoing credit load each term.
• Willing to pass background/drug screening and adhere to confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends with campus events.

Responsibilities

• Assist peers with college systems, resources, and processes.
• Support campus events and NSO, open houses, and college fairs.
• Provide campus tours and guidance to students.
• Offer quick referrals and help using My Tri-C Space.
• Represent the College professionally and participate in leadership activities.

Learning Objectives:

Student Ambassadors will develop and demonstrate foundational professional competencies in customer service, communication, and student support by effectively assisting peers with college systems, resources, and processes. Through hands-on experience, students will strengthen problem-solving skills, digital literacy (e.g., My Tri-C Space navigation), and the ability to assess student needs and provide appropriate referrals. Additionally, Student Ambassadors will enhance leadership, teamwork, and intercultural competence by supporting campus events and engaging with diverse student populations. By the end of the experience, student employees will be able to confidently represent the College, apply institutional knowledge to real-world situations, and reflect on their role in promoting student success and completion.

• Have completed at least 6 credit hours at Tri-C;
• minimum GPA of 2.5;
• consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester;
• maintain satisfactory academic progress;
• adhere to College’s confidentiality policy;
• successfully pass background/drug screening;
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends;
• must demonstrate outstanding customer service, reliability, effective leadership skills, and strong communication skills;
• provide support to students during peak periods:
• assist students with My Tri-C Space;
• provide campus tours;
• assist with on and off campus events such as open houses, NSO, college fairs, high school visits;
• must participate in leadership programs and attend student success workshops;other duties as assigned.
