Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) is seeking a part-time Student Employment Worker on the Boone Campus in Iowa. The position supports the Student Services unit, leading campus tours and assisting with visits and events to create a welcoming campus experience.
The role requires you to be a current DMACC student with at least 12 credits and a minimum 2.5 GPA, plus strong communication and customer service skills. 20 hours/week, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., primarily on campus.
Important Eligibility Notice: This position is strictly funded through the Federal Work-Study (FWS) program. To qualify, you must have a current FWS award as part of your financial aid package.

The work study program provides funds for part-time employment to help students finance the costs of postsecondary education. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student’s course of study. The program is designed to provide students with an opportunity for employment arranged around class schedules, while providing essential services to the College and the community.
Support Student Services, enhance the prospective student experience, and foster a welcoming and supportive environment for all campus visitors. Lead campus tours, assist with campus visits and events, represent DMACC , and support other departments as assigned.
Must be a current, full-time DMACC student taking at least 12 credits. Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Must demonstrate written and oral communication skills, interpersonal and customer service skills, adaptability and problem-solving abilities, teamwork and collaboration skills, basic computer knowledge, leadership potential, and reliability and professionalism. Must possess a genuine passion for helping others succeed in their educational journey, a strong willingness to learn and develop new skills, and a true enthusiasm for DMACC .
20 hours per week. Hours between Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
