Des Moines Area Community College is seeking a part-time Work-Study student at the Carroll Campus in Carroll, IA. Job Summary
The work study program provides funds for part-time employment to help students finance the costs of postsecondary education. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student’s course of study. The program is designed to provide students with an opportunity for employment arranged around class schedules, while providing essential services to the College and the community.
Essential Functions
Key responsibilities include promoting a welcoming and supportive environment, serving as a representative at DMACC Carroll Campus and at community events.
Support Student Services during busy times as directed, assisting with event planning such as Career Discovery Day(s), group campus visits, and orientations.
Perform clerical tasks such as answering phones, stuffing envelopes, and other items as needed. Assist other departments with various projects or tasks assigned.
This position offers valuable experience in higher education, customer relations, and leadership development, while allowing students to balance work with academic commitments.
