Des Moines Area Community College is seeking a Work Study caregiver for the Kids Zone, providing nurturing care for children ages 3 months to 8 years in a fast-paced environment.
The role offers a part-time schedule under DMACC’s Work Study program, designed to align with student class times and offer meaningful service to the campus and community.

The work study program provides funds for part-time employment to help students finance the costs of postsecondary education. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student’s course of study. The program is designed to provide students with an opportunity for employment arranged around class schedules, while providing essential services to the College and the community.
Work as a team to create a positive, nurturing environment for children between the ages of 3 months and 8 years, in a fun, fast-paced atmosphere.
Build strong relationships with children, families and co-workers through conversation, active listening and practicing empathy.
Engage in play with children, sharing and encouraging their ideas.
Follow program policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment for children.
Work collaboratively alongside a dedicated team, practicing effective communication, showing respect for others’ ideas, assisting and being inclusive of others.
