Job summary

The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio is seeking a part-time Student Assistant for Admissions Processing to support processing specialists with applications and related documents. You must be a current UIW student, available for flexible hours 8am-5pm, including some evenings, weekends, and special sessions.

This role emphasizes confidentiality, data entry accuracy, and customer service for prospective students and families.

Qualifications

• Moderate level of data entry speed and accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with proper behavioral etiquette.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and OneDrive.
• Basic computer and office equipment skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
• Able to interact with staff in various positions (i.e., Directors, Vice Presidents, faculty, etc.).
• Ability to follow instructions and take direction.
• Ability to adhere to office dress code/uniform expectations.
• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Responsibilities

• Works in a fast paced, high-profile environment.
• Utilizes appropriate university databases to research student records.
• Indexes documents using university BDM system.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information and records.
• Provides excellent customer service to prospective students, their families, and the university community.
• Assists with opening and sorting incoming mail.
• Inputs incoming and outgoing mail in Admissions mail log.
• Assists with mail pick up and delivery between the Admissions office, UIW post office, and other campus offices.
• Assists with packaging and labeling of recruitment materials, student packets, counselor materials, and other mail-outs.
• Assists with facilitation of check-in for various admissions events.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
