Regent University is seeking a Digital Web & SEO Specialist who bridges front-end web support and technical SEO, owning WordPress administration, technical SEO, and site health alongside the Front-End Web Developer. This role focuses on fast, accessible, search-visible web properties aligned with enrollment goals.

Hands-on work in HTML/CSS/JS, Yoast SEO, schema markup, and performance optimization is required, with collaboration across campus to meet university objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a field such as Computer Science, IT, Digital Marketing, or related; equivalent professional experience considered.
• 2–3 years of hands-on web development, technical SEO, or a mix of both.
• Proficiency in WordPress administration, including theme management and plugin configuration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update WordPress pages and microsites within established frameworks using HTML, CSS, basic PHP and JavaScript.
• Perform technical SEO audits and implement fixes across university web properties.
• Audit WCAG accessibility and mobile responsiveness; coordinate remediation.
• Collaborate with Front-End Web Developer on larger build and redesign projects.
• Monitor Core Web Vitals, page speed, crawlability, and indexation health.
