Job summary

Belmont University is seeking a qualified Web Specialist to support the production and implementation of web content across campus. The role collaborates with Marketing & Communications to build websites, email templates and digital ads that align with the university brand and enrollment goals.

The Web Specialist will optimize content for findability, accessibility and privacy compliance while using analytics to drive improvements and shareable digital content across channels.

Qualifications

• Experience building websites and email templates using HTML and CSS.
• Experience with a wide variety of modern web content management systems and other mass email marketing systems.
• Experience with search engine optimization for the web, including Google Search Console.
• Experience with analytics tools including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Data Studio.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and XD.
• Understanding of storytelling and content strategy for the web.
• Familiarity with accessibility and privacy laws as they relate to website design.
• Excellent communication, time management and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of web content to advance Belmont University's brand and enrollment goals.
• Collaborate with campus partners to develop information architecture and build websites within the CMS.
• Ensure content is up-to-date and aligns with marketing objectives across channels.
• Assist in governance of university websites and CMS/CRM systems.
• Utilize analytics to measure success and improve findability and performance.
