Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX seeks a Women's Services Float Pool Registered Nurse. You will perform patient assessments, develop and adjust care plans, and work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care across settings.

You will deliver perioperative care, education to patients and families, and assist with discharge planning. Licensure and ACLS/BCLS certifications are required within 30 days of start date, with Neonate Resuscitation training also

Qualifications

• RN license required
• ACLS and BCLS certifications to be obtained within 30 days of start date
• Neonatal resuscitation training within 30 days of start date
• Associate/Bachelor/Master degree or RN diploma held
• Experience or training in patient education welcomed

Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement a plan of care based on patient assessments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to revise care plans
• Administer medications and treatments per hospital policy
• Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff per standards of practice
• Provide pre- and post-operative care
• Provide education materials to patients and families
• Facilitate discharge planning with care team
