Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Pflugerville, TX is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) in Pediatrics.

You will provide clinical expertise and compassionate care for infants, children, and adolescents, and support families as they navigate options, concerns and care plans. Responsibilities include attending deliveries and neonatal stabilization, creating and updating care plans, performing assessments, administering medications, and coordinating with NNPs or neonatologists.

Qualifications

• 2 years of RN experience in pediatrics/ICU/NEONATAL settings preferred.
• BSN preferred; ADN required for consideration.
• Valid Texas RN license or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Attend deliveries and perform neonatal stabilization and admission assessments.
• Create and revise care plans with discharge planning and evaluation.
• Conduct ongoing infant assessments and communicate changes to physicians.
• Administer medications and complete treatments per policy.
• Support transport teams during stabilization and transfer documentation.
• Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff per standards of practice.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
