Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse to perform wound care duties in an inpatient setting under supervision. The role requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing, Texas RN licensure, and BLS certification, with CWON within 3 years of hire. One year of RN experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• 1 year of RN experience; some units may require more.

• CWON Wound Ostomy Nurse certification required within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments.
• Develop and implement care plans with multidisciplinary teams.
• Document interventions accurately and timely.
• Ensure continuity of safe care across shifts and units.
• Educate patients and families; document education provided.
• Supervise unlicensed staff and new nurses when needed.
