Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Certified in Basic Life Support.
• Additional certifications may be required depending on discipline and nursing unit.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients using the nursing process.
• Coordinates nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes based on evidence and standards.
• Coordinates treatment plans and develops discharge and transfer plans.
• Contributes to program evaluation and quality improvement to enhance patient experience.
