Job summary

Required are a BSN, Texas license, 5+ years of clinical experience (2+ as Preceptor/Charge Nurse), and CWOCN/CWON/CWCA/CWS certification. Excellent data skills and team collaboration are essential for patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN required and Texas license or compact license.
• +5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in acute hospital.
• +2 years as Preceptor or Charge Nurse preferred.
• CWOCN, CWON, CWCA, or CWS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement direct care for wounds, ostomy, and continence issues.
• Implement and evaluate pressure injury prevention methods per NPIAP guidelines.
• Collect data on hospital-acquired pressure injuries and report to NDNQI.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and leadership to optimize resources.
• Educate ostomy patients pre- and post-discharge and train wound care staff.
• Participate in Skin Care Committee and oversee related prevalence studies.
