Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments to identify wound care needs and appropriate interventions.
  • Evaluate patient progress and wound healing outcomes, adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Initiate and implement nursing interventions tailored to the patient\'s condition.
  • Provide direct wound care based on patient condition and age-specific needs.
  • Educate patients and families on wound care procedures, prevention strategies, and discharge instructions.
  • Provide clinical staff education related to wound care treatment plans, procedures, and best practices.
  • Requires strong assessment, planning, and communication skills.
  • Must be able to collaborate across disciplines to ensure continuity of care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. Graduate of an accredited Wound Ostomy Care Nurse program.
  • Licensure: Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
  • Certifications: CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred. WOCN preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in wound care required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
