Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Wound Care RN – WOCN to join the inpatient team in Dallas, TX. This role requires an active Texas RN license, BLS, and CWON within 3 years of hire, with general wound care responsibilities across patient care settings.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Texas (or BNE Compact State) required upon hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• CWON certification required within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs and accurately documents physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments for all assigned patients.
• Develops and implements an appropriate plan of care for the patient.
• Completes accurate and timely documentation of the interventions.
• Initiates or maintains actions to assure continuity of safe/effective care for patients between shifts, units and upon discharge.
• Evaluates interventions and modifies care as needed.
