Job description

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with state and specialty standards, collaborating with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient’s medical record; administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action if an unintended response occurs.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi‑State Compact License (if RN Compact License, must obtain a Texas RN license within 90 days of hire).
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification obtained within 30 days of employment start.
  • Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) preferred.
  • 1‑year clinical wound care experience as an RN required.
