Job summary

Nextlink Internet is seeking a Field Operations – Tower professional to install, maintain and repair antenna systems on tall structures. The role requires climbing towers up to 500 feet, handling power and data cabling, and performing safety analyses on each job.

The position is full-time, on-site with occasional travel, and includes benefits such as health, dental, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Climb and work on communications towers for installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems; perform tower maintenance.
• Run power, ground, fiber, Cat5e and/or coaxial cables.
• Inspect completed work to ensure hardware is tight, antennas level, and weatherproofing is in place.
• Take site photos and document work performed; complete JSA before each tower climb.
• Transport equipment to work sites and lift equipment into position safely.
• Complete reports related to outages, project status or other work details.
