Job summary

BearCom is seeking an Installation Technician in the San Francisco Bay Area to install and support wireless and electronic systems. You will handle data cabling, mounting infrastructure, and assist with commissioning tasks.

You’ll perform site walks, assess installation requirements, and recommend suitable equipment to meet customer needs. Some travel and on-call work may be required with per diem provided.

Qualifications

• Basic electronics background is a plus
• Competent with hand and power tools
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work in challenging positions
• Familiarity with PPE
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Experience reading blueprints/diagrams is a plus
• Data cabling experience (CAT5/6, coax, fiber) is a plus
• OSHA safety training and low voltage certifications a plus
• Distributed Antenna System (DAS) installation a plus
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must have high school diploma
• Drug screening and background checks are part of hiring process

Responsibilities

• Physical installation of data cabling and mounting infrastructure
• Support commissioning of communications and low voltage systems
• Perform site walks to determine installation requirements for proposals
• Recommend equipment and hardware meeting customer requirements
• Regional/overnight travel and on-call hours may be required; per diem provided
