Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician I to install and support wireless communications systems. You will create basic codeplugs and perform mobile installations while troubleshooting radios and related equipment.

Some regional/overnight travel and on-call hours may be required. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of service technician experience and strong RF/telecom skills, with a valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of service technician experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment.
• Strong knowledge of RF/telecommunications and networking principles.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license; willingness for regional/overnight travel; background checks are part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Install and support wireless communications systems for customers.
• Create Basic Programming Codeplugs (less than 12 channels).
• Perform basic mobile installations (radio, antenna, modem, DC-DC converters).
• Troubleshoot and repair defective two-way radios and related wireless equipment.
