Job summary
BearCom is hiring an Installation Technician to install and support wireless and electronic communications systems. You will perform physical data cabling installations, support system commissioning, and determine installation needs during site walks.
The role requires basic electronics knowledge, the ability to use hand and power tools, and comfort with travel and on-call duties. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required, with benefits including company vehicles and
Qualifications
- Basic electronics background is a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work in challenging positions.
- Experience reading blueprints and/or logic diagrams a plus.
- Data cabling experience (CAT 5/6, coaxial, fiber) a plus.
Responsibilities
- Install data cabling and mounting infrastructure.
- Support commissioning of communications and low voltage systems.
- Perform site walks to determine installation requirements for proposals.
- Recommend equipment and hardware meeting customer requirements.
- Occasional regional/overnight travel and on-call hours; per diem when traveling.
