Job summary

Amazon Corporate Network Engineering in Austin, TX is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join our Core Engineering team. You will partner with infrastructure teams to deploy scalable, multi-vendor network designs for corporate offices worldwide.

You will own configurations, tooling, and deployment, working with Systems and Software Engineers to roll out new designs, while maintaining high availability and cost efficiency in a 24x7 environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment.
• 4+ years of hands-on technical engineering experience in large scale Enterprise wireless network.
• 4+ years’ experience and knowledge of at least one vendor’s Wireless hardware - Access Points, Wireless Controllers.
• Experience on Enterprise wireless architecture, WPA3, Radius, 802.1X, EAP.

Responsibilities

• Design and build innovative, multi-vendor data connectivity solutions to support Amazon’s growth worldwide.
• Drive scaling current network designs to meet the demand of our customers.
• Work with vendors and cross-functional teams for on-going design efforts and systems support.
• Work closely with our internal customers to help alleviate their problems and ensure our network continues to meet their demands.
• Drive operational excellence projects to drive improvements in our network quality and reliability.
• Work closely with our teams to assist in defining the tools we require.
• Create simple processes that help operate and build our network.
