Job summary

Amazon Corporate Network Engineering is seeking a Wireless Network Development Engineer to join our Core Engineering team in Texas. You will partner with teams to design, deploy, and sustain large-scale enterprise wireless networks and related tooling, ensuring high availability and cost efficiency.

You’ll contribute to standardization, automation, and rapid rollout of new designs, while collaborating with software, hardware, and security experts across Amazon.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols.
• 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment.
• 4+ years hands-on engineering in large-scale enterprise wireless networks.
• 4+ years experience with at least one vendor’s wireless hardware (APs, controllers).
• Experience with Enterprise wireless architecture including WPA3, Radius, 802.1X, EAP.

Responsibilities

• Design and build innovative, multi-vendor data connectivity solutions to support Amazon’s growth worldwide.
• Drive scaling of current network designs to meet customer demand.
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams for ongoing design efforts and systems support.
• Work with internal customers to resolve problems and ensure network meets demands.
• Drive operational excellence projects to enhance network quality and reliability.
• Define the tools required by the teams to operate and build the network.
• Create simple, repeatable processes to operate and scale the network.
