Job summary

Amazon’s OpsTech Networking Wireless team seeks a Wireless Network Development Engineer to architect and scale wireless infrastructure for global fulfillment and operations networks. You will guide deployments across large-scale environments, mentor teams, and own availability improvements while balancing security and performance.

The role demands hands-on experience with Wi‑Fi, RF fundamentals, and 802.11 protocols, plus scripting for automation and debugging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or related field or 3+ years in networking/wireless infra.
• 4+ years designing, deploying, or managing enterprise wireless networks.
• Proficient with 802.11 protocols and RF fundamentals including channel planning and interference mitigation.
• Experience with IP networking fundamentals and scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and deliver technical solutions to improve wireless network availability.
• Understand customer needs and create technical wireless solutions.
• Deliver scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized wireless infrastructure.
• Lead lab tests, proof of concepts, and pilot deployments; automate testing and operations.
• Contribute to hiring and developing top talent; provide 7x24 escalation support on rotation.
