Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems at customer sites. You will install equipment, program codeplugs, and provide top-notch service while meeting customer needs.

The role requires strong RF knowledge, electronics experience, and the ability to travel regionally as needed. BearCom offers on-the-job training and opportunities to grow your technical skills.

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include a strong electronics background and RF knowledge.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing, programming and installing RF equipment.
• Familiarity with two-way radio theory and RF propagation characteristics.
• Proficient use of test equipment such as service monitors and multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Create mid-level programming codeplugs for 12+ channels and multiple zones.
• Install and service wireless equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz, dispatch consoles, BDA/DAS, CCTV).
• Recommend equipment and hardware to meet customer needs.
• Occasional regional/overnight travel and on-call hours may be required.
