Job summary

Mobile Generation, the Verizon Premium Retailer, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in driving sales and delivering an outstanding customer experience across our Verizon Wireless location.

The role requires retail leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel to Midwest locations as needed. You will lead a sales team, hire and schedule staff, and help achieve monthly KPIs while upholding Verizon and Mobile Generation standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a similar role in a retail environment (preferably Verizon Wireless).
• Proof of achievement in prior sales roles.
• Ability to lead, coach and inspire your team.
• Enthusiasm for retail, wireless technology products and customer service.
• Ability to travel to locations across the Midwest as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Work side by side with the Store Manager to build a positive, customer- and goal-oriented environment.
• Assist Store Manager to hire, schedule, and supervise a team of Verizon Wireless Sales Associates.
• Meet or exceed personal and team KPIs each month.
• Coach/mentor your team to provide an exceptional customer experience each time.
• Ensure the location operates under Verizon Wireless and Mobile Generation guidelines.
• Assist the Store Manager in promotional roles, inventory procedures, or other duties as assigned.
• Set an example of personal and professional conduct for employees and others.
