Job summary

Career Team in Santa Fe, NM, is seeking a Project Director for the WIOA program to lead project strategy and ensure contract compliance. This full-time exempt role is 100% onsite at Santa Fe/Farmington locations and reports to the Regional Director.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred), 3–5 years of leadership in workforce development, knowledge of WIOA contracts, strong EI, and the ability to guide teams to deliver results; local travel up to 30% and salary

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Masters or MBA Preferred.
• 3-5 years of operational leadership and management experience with knowledge of WIOA contracts/programs preferred.
• Experience and knowledge of WIOA, TANF, SNAP, and other workforce development contracts/program.
• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to lead a team with different working styles.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.
• Knowledge about the local region and relevant partners (preferred).
• Experience in planning and organizing work standards, processes, and references.
• Sharp attention to detail with strong organizational, analytical, research and critical thinking skills.
• The capability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with professionalism.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle personnel inquiries with tact and diplomacy.
• A Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and program monitoring.
• Focus on expenditure rates and drive metrics and performance.
• Coordinate planning and implementation of policies for continuous improvement.
• Serve as the primary local contact and contract liaison for the funding source.
• Lead a team to execute program initiatives and support staff development.
• Conduct regular coaching sessions and annual performance evaluations.
• Approach tasks with a proactive mindset; other duties as needed.

Education
