Job summary

Career Team is seeking a Project Director to lead staff, oversee programs and strategic plans onsite in Ventura, CA. This role ensures WIOA Title 1 Adult/Dislocated Worker compliance, manages grants, and drives performance and quality across workforce services.

As a key member of the Corporate Management Team, you will hire and develop staff, implement policies, monitor expenditures, and coordinate with local boards to meet regional needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, public relations, or related field.
• 5+ years of operations or project management experience.
• 3+ years in workforce development or WIOA‑style programs.
• Strong budgeting, staff leadership, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of policies, data management, and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise staff, oversee programs and compliance.
• Manage expenditure and performance metrics, ensuring on‑track budgets.
• Coordinate planning, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Engage with local Workforce Board and partners to meet needs.
• Hire, train, and develop staff with strong service delivery focus.
