Job summary

Career Team seeks a Project Director to lead staff and oversee administration, programs, and strategic plans. You will manage WIOA Title 1 activities, ensure compliance, and guide program performance while collaborating with local boards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in operations or project management, and 3+ years in workforce/WIOA. This is a full-time, on-site California role with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public relations, or community organization or development.
• Knowledgeable about the local region and relevant partners.
• 5+ years of experience in operations or project management, and at least 3 years’ workforce/WIOA experience.
• 5+ years of experience in business, marketing, public relations, education, and/or human and/or workforce development services.
• Planning and organizing work standards, processes, and references to regularly assist management.
• Experience in hiring, recruiting, and retaining staff and managing employee relations.
• Strong fiscal management of budgets, revenue management, leveraging of funds, invoice processing, and/or reconciliation.
• Understanding of data management, quality assurance, and reporting.
• Human-centered approach for excellent customer service and complaint resolution.
• Emotional intelligence and ability to lead a diverse team.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with confidentiality.
• Attention to detail with analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related training platforms; familiarity with case management or CRM software.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of WIOA Title 1 programs and other grants.
• Lead a team of staff to execute program initiatives and staff development.
• Ensure contract compliance, policies, procedures, and program monitoring.
• Drive performance metrics, expenditures, and on-track results.
• Conduct labor market research and evaluation.
• Manage case management and enrollment services.
• Coordinate policy planning for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Partner with local Workforce Boards to align with local needs.
