Job summary

Career Team seeks an experienced Project Director to oversee WIOA Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth programs, plus grants, from its Napa office with occasional travel to Marin, Mendocino, and Lake counties. You will supervise staff, manage program administration, and drive performance excellence while ensuring compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.

The role demands strategic leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and a strong commitment to workforce development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public relations, or community development, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in operations, workforce development, business, marketing, public relations, or education
• Strong knowledge of WIOA programs and workforce development requirements
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining flexibility and efficiency
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), case management software, and customer relations tools
• Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
• Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Oversee program administration and ensure compliance with funding requirements
• Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary staff team
• Manage program budgets and monitor expenditure vs. performance
• Develop and implement service delivery plans to drive KPIs
• Coach and develop staff to foster a culture of excellence
• Ensure accurate documentation and reporting
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to maximize impact
• Travel as required to support operations across sites
