Job summary

Career Team in Napa, CA is seeking a results-driven Project Director to oversee WIOA Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth programs, plus special grants, in the North Bay region. Based at the Napa office, travel to Marin, Napa, Mendocino, and Lake sites will be occasional to support operations.

The role requires a dynamic leader with strong compliance knowledge and a passion for workforce development. Spanish language skills are preferred to serve diverse communities effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in operations, workforce development, business, marketing, public relations, or education.
• Strong knowledge of WIOA programs and workforce development requirements.
• Ability to lead diverse teams in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and efficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, case management software, and customer relations tools.
• Spanish-speaking proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary local contact and contract liaison for the funding source.
• Partner with the local Workforce Development Board to support program growth and awareness of WIOA and partner services.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, policies, procedures and program monitoring.
• Oversee program budgets to align expenditures with performance goals.
• Develop and implement service delivery plans to drive KPIs and staff coaching.
• Lead a team of employees, fostering excellence and professional growth.
• Design and execute continuous improvement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Hire, train, and develop staff while ensuring best practices in workforce development.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
