Job summary

The Inter-American Development Bank is seeking an undergraduate intern to support Systems UX/UI design and communications in Washington, DC. The 2027 Winter Internship Program is a competitive paid opportunity, based in Headquarters, for university students from member countries to learn about development work and corporate management of the Bank.

Qualifications

The candidate must be an active undergraduate student in Graphic Design, UX/UI Design, or a related field.
Fluency in English with working knowledge of another Bank language is a plus.
Ability to learn, collaborate, communicate, and adapt to feedback in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Design user-centered interfaces for SEC-developed systems and applications with accessible, visually consistent designs.
Produce UX/UI assets including wireframes, mockups, and page layouts to support new features.
Create multimedia materials such as icons, infographics, and interactive elements to aid communications and onboarding.
Maintain and update designs to ensure usability, accessibility, and branding alignment.
Collaborate with product owners, developers, and communications teams to translate user needs into design solutions.
Design and assemble user-friendly toolkits and onboarding materials with strong usability and clarity.
