Job summary

The IDB Group seeks an active undergraduate student for a two‑month Winter Internship in Washington, DC, under the Consultant modality. This competitive, paid internship runs January 16 to March 15, 2027, based at Headquarters and open to students from member countries.

You will design interfaces for SEC systems, produce UX/UI assets, create multimedia materials, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate user needs into effective design solutions while learning branding standards

Qualifications

Active undergraduate student in Graphic Design, UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, or related field.
Expected graduation after internship period.
Fluency in English; working knowledge of at least one other Bank language (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design user-centered interfaces for SEC-developed systems and applications with accessible, visually consistent designs.
Produce UX and UI design assets: wireframes, mockups, layouts, visual components.
Create graphics, icons, infographics, and interactive elements to support communications and onboarding.
Maintain and improve existing designs ensuring consistency, usability, accessibility, and brand alignment.
Collaborate with product owners, developers, and communications teams to translate user needs into design solutions.
Design and assemble toolkits, onboarding materials, and reference resources with strong usability and branding.
