Job summary

The City of Roseville seeks an Outdoor Rink Attendant to monitor park warming buildings during the outdoor ice rink season (late December through mid-February). The role requires occasional travel between park locations to open and close facilities and ensure a safe environment for rink users.

Qualified applicants may receive specialty pay ranging from $16.93 to $18.58 per hour if they hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license is required for specialty pay.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Capable of working alone without direct supervision.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing and follow written and oral instructions.
• Availability on evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close warming facilities as scheduled and on time.
• Monitor warming facilities and skating rinks to ensure safety and compliance.
• Answer customer questions in person or by city cell phone.
• Provide light cleaning of warming facilities after each shift.
• Greet users and provide a welcoming presence.
• Assist with snow removal from sidewalks, patios, and rinks.
• Assist with event setup/cleanup for renters.
• Utilize cleaning and maintenance tools as needed.
• Complete incident and attendance reports and communicate with supervisor.
• Support inclusive and equitable work environment.
