Job summary

City of Edina is seeking a part-time Ice Rink Attendant for the December–February season. You will open/close outdoor skating rinks and shelter buildings, provide a welcoming atmosphere, and ensure rules are followed to maintain a safe environment.

You’ll assist with youth and family activities, document attendance and incidents, keep facilities clean, and perform other assigned duties. Minimum age 16, strong communication, reliability, and ability to work independently are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Responsible, organized, and able to make decisions.
• Strong communication and friendly when interacting with the public.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for shelter building and skating rink patrons.
• Responsible for the punctual opening and closing of the shelter building facility and rinks.
• Monitor rinks to ensure rules are followed and a safe skating environment is provided.
• Support and/or lead special activities for youth and families.
• Document skating attendance, maintenance issues, incidents, and injuries.
• Maintain clean and orderly facilities during assigned shift; shovel walkways, vacuum/sweep floors, organize skates, and custodial tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
