Job summary

The State of Indiana, through INDOT, is hiring for a Winter Seasonal Maintenance Worker in Terre Haute. The role focuses on highway maintenance, snow and ice removal, and traffic-sign installation to keep INDOT assets in good condition.

Requires a Class A or B CDL, ability to lift 50 pounds, and the stamina to work in varied weather. Interviews will be held on Oct 6, 2026; start dates include Nov 9, Nov 23, or Dec 7, 2026 with a $250 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to move 50 pounds and perform physical activities for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate highway maintenance and traffic equipment to repair, maintain, and clean highways.
• Move and load supplies and materials.
• Perform winter operations such as snow and ice removal.
