Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or HSE preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Required to submit to and pass a drug test as a condition of employment.
• Must have the ability to move 50 pounds.
• Must have the ability to perform physical activities for long periods.
• Must be able to endure inclement weather.
• Must be able to operate winter maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic highway maintenance and traffic equipment to maintain highways and right-of-way.
• Move and load supplies and materials.
• Winter operation duties including snow and ice removal.
• Perform emergency response activities such as traffic control and lane closures.
• Perform equipment maintenance such as minor repairs and refueling.
• Comply with INDOT Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Perform job documentation tasks in the Work Management System (WMS).
