Job summary

The Seasonal Winter Maintenance Worker role with the State of Indiana's INDOT is based in the LaPorte Sub District, serving LaPorte, Michigan City, Chesterton and Wanatah.

You will operate snow plows and traffic equipment, perform winter maintenance, signs, and safety tasks. A valid Class A or B CDL and driver's license are required; you must pass a drug test and be able to lift 50 pounds; expect varied winter hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A or B CDL required.
• Must pass drug test and carry a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow plow and winter maintenance equipment.
• Repair/maintain traffic signs and pavement markings.
• Perform emergency response tasks and document work in WMS.
