Job summary

The State of Ohio Department of Transportation, District 08, seeks a Winter Seasonal Highway Technician 1 (Highway Worker with CDL) to perform basic roadway maintenance in Warren, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Fayette, Hamilton, and surrounding counties.

You will operate basic equipment, respond to snow and ice events, set up traffic control, and assist the public while adhering to safety and CDL requirements.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions; ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic equipment related to roadway maintenance.
• Perform emergency response, clean-up, and traffic control.
• Serve the public and work to make the roads in Ohio safer.
