Job summary

Carter Creek Winery Resort & Spa in Johnson City, Texas, is seeking a Tasting Room Supervisor to lead daily operations and guest service in the tasting room, open daily 11 am–6 pm. You will promote wine sales, supervise staff, train about varietals and winery history, handle POS transactions, and ensure a clean, well stocked space while delivering an exceptional visitor experience.

This full-time role requires at least 2 years of supervisory experience in retail or hospitality, strong wine

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of supervisory experience in a retail/hospitality environment.
• Above average knowledge of wine varietals, regions and viticulture.
• Familiar with TABC governing laws.

Responsibilities

• Promotes sale of wine and non-wine products in the tasting room.
• Uses POS system to transact sales and reconcile daily sales.
• Keeps tasting room clean, neat and stocked at all times.
• Describes wines and winery history; answers visitors' questions.
• Gains and maintains thorough knowledge of winery and its wines.
• Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; guides staff daily.
• Alerts department head when wine inventory is running low.
• Attends departmental meetings; works weekends and events as needed.
