Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a Windows Systems Engineer to manage Windows infrastructure, build Ansible automations, and shift operations to code‑defined processes. The role requires a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance and involvement in on‑call rotations across multiple ADC environments.

You will help implement infrastructure as code today while laying the groundwork for scalable, automated operations that improve reliability and efficiency across the Windows stack.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or relevant certification.
• 2+ years supporting Windows operating systems with core competencies (AD, DHCP, DNS, Powershell, SCCM, SCOM, Win OS, disaster recovery).
• Experience administering and operating Active Directory networks and basic networking skills.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Windows infrastructure services across ADC environments (AD, DFS, DHCP, DNS, ECM, Group Policy).
• Troubleshoot cross‑service issues and escalate to Tier 1/2 as needed.
• Migrate manual operations to code‑defined automation.
• Define and monitor service health metrics and alerts for proactive response.
• Ensure security compliance and hardening with Security Compliance team.
• Create and maintain runbooks, diagrams, and SOPs.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for service‑impacting events.
