Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Windows Systems Engineer to support and automate Windows infrastructure across ADC environments. You will codify configuration and deployment, build Ansible-based automation, and ensure high availability while operating across multiple services.

You will join a team that values security compliance, on-call readiness, and continuous improvement, contributing to scalable, code-driven operations for US government workloads.

Qualifications

• 2+ years supporting Windows family of operating systems including core competencies: AD, DNS, DHCP, Powershell, SCCM, Win OS, and disaster recovery/business continuity.
• Experience administering, maintaining and operating Active Directory Windows based networks; troubleshooting.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Windows infrastructure services across ADC environments: AD, DFS, DHCP, DNS, ECM, Group Policy
• Troubleshoot and resolve service issues across the Windows infrastructure stack; provide escalation for Tier 1/2 teams
• Migrate manual operational processes to code-defined automation
• Define and monitor service health metrics; build and maintain alarming for proactive response
• Ensure services meet security compliance and hardening in partnership with Security Compliance
• Create and maintain runbooks, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation for service-impacting events
