Job summary

Schillings is seeking a Retail Salesperson with a focus on Windows & Doors at our St. John, IN location. This full-time role offers advancement opportunities and great benefits.

Typical schedule is Monday through Saturday with a weekday day off; Sundays and late evenings are not required. Responsibilities include building relationships with walk-in customers, collaborating with Purchasing, estimating building products, and achieving sales targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proficient scoring on all candidate testing
• Knowledge of all aspects and uses of construction materials
• Persuasive and people-orientated
• Attention to detail
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Sales experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with walk-in customers to enhance sales opportunities
• Communicate with Purchasing on any needs for special products
• Responsible for accurately estimating building products
• Investigate and answer complex questions and inquiries within the framework of the sales function
• Regularly work to develop relationships over time that will provide significant input to planning strategies
• Occasionally serve as a team member on special projects
• Collect, analyze, and report sales data and information (quotes, estimates, bids)
• Be innovative and provide suggestions for improvement across the company
• Plan how to establish and maintain major account relationships and meet personal sales targets within the full line of products or combination of products
• Provided training, guidance, and assistance in Windows & Doors
• Build sales and meet sales goals
