Job summary

Mater is seeking a Deployment Technician for a 10-month fixed-term contract to support a large-scale Windows 11 upgrade, device replacement, and VDI rollout across Mater locations. You will deploy devices, onboard users, troubleshoot issues, and provide onsite post-deployment support to ensure a smooth transition through FY27.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced ITIL certifications desired.
• Relevant IT certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional are expected.
• Minimum 5 years relevant IT experience is mandatory.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, ControlUp or similar endpoint deployment and device management technologies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate deployment activities with project teams and end users to ensure smooth transitions to new systems.
• Support user onboarding and troubleshoot deployment issues during Windows 11 upgrades and VDI migrations.
• Document deployment steps and continuously identify opportunities to improve deployment processes and user experience.
• Conduct deployment testing, UAT, and validation of business applications post-migration.
• Maintain accurate records of deployment activities, assets, and incident resolutions.
• Assist with device lifecycle management including hardware audits and inventory control.
