Job summary

PPM TECHNICAL SERVICES, INC. seeks a Wind Turbine Technician for on‑site duty at Shenandoah, PA. You will operate, maintain, repair, and replace wind turbine equipment and related systems across substation, collection, and transmission networks.

The role requires climbing towers, troubleshooting complex mechanical/electrical issues, and performing preventive maintenance per OEM manuals. Travel up to 15% and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• One year college or technical school certificate or 12 months wind industry experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment.
• Advanced computer skills with MS Office and reporting systems.
• Ability to climb towers up to 100 meters daily.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and related infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic issues per OEM specs.
• Repair or replace faulty components following manufacturer requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance per OEM manuals.
• Accurate data collection and reporting for wind plant metrics.
• Support QA/QC activities and site walk-downs as needed.
• Travel to other sites (10–15%) and work overtime when required.
