Job summary

Nordex SE is seeking an Assembly Operator - Electrical Production Technician on 2nd shift to install and wire electrical systems in wind turbine nacelles, including control panels and sensors. You will route wiring, test continuity, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Electrical certifications or technical training.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical assembly or manufacturing.
• Experience in wind turbines, industrial, or automotive electrical systems.
• Ability to read work instructions and electrical schematics.
• Experience with overhead crane operation and crane operator certification.
• Willingness to obtain electrical safety certifications.
• Familiarity with multimeters, crimping tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install electrical components in wind turbine nacelles and hubs.
• Route and secure wiring harnesses, connectors, and control systems.
• Use testing equipment to verify electrical continuity and system functionality.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Exceed production benchmarks by completing tasks within the timeframe.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve procedures.
• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support other production areas as needed by the supervisor.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of electrical connectivity issues.
