Job summary

Nordex SE in the United States is seeking an Assembly Operator - Electrical Production Technician to install and wire electrical systems in wind turbine nacelles, including control panels, sensors and harnesses, following safety and quality procedures. The role requires 3+ years in electrical assembly or manufacturing, a high school diploma, electrical certifications, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Electrical certifications or technical training.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical assembly or manufacturing.
• Experience in wind turbines, industrial, or automotive electrical systems.
• Ability to read work instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Must be able to pass respiratory fit test and operate safely.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install electrical components in wind turbine nacelles and hubs.
• Route and secure wiring harnesses, connectors, and control systems.
• Use testing equipment to verify electrical continuity and system functionality.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Exceed production benchmarks by completing tasks within the timeframe.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve procedures.
• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support other production areas as needed and as assigned by the supervisor.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of electrical connectivity issues.
