Job summary

Nordex SE is seeking an Assembly Operator - Mechanical Production Technician to build wind-turbine components, including nacelle parts, hubs, and drivetrains, following strict quality and safety standards.

You will use hand tools, cranes, and torque equipment, read detailed drawings, and collaborate with QA and engineering to improve processes while prioritizing safety, efficiency, and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Mechanical certifications or technical training preferred.
• 3+ years in mechanical assembly or heavy manufacturing.
• Ability to read work instructions and blueprints.
• Experience with wind turbine, automotive, or industrial equipment assembly.
• Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test and crane certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components of wind turbines using hand and power tools and cranes.
• Follow engineering drawings to ensure accurate builds and torquing/aligning large parts.
• Collaborate with QA and engineering to improve assembly processes.
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain a clean work area.
• Support other production areas as needed by supervisor.
• Participate in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of production issues.
