Job summary

Nordex SE is seeking an Assembly Operator - Mechanical Production Technician (2nd Shift) to build wind turbine components, including nacelle and drive trains, following quality, safety, and environmental procedures. Ideal for those with mechanical assembly or automotive backgrounds and a passion for renewable energy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with mechanical aptitude.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or heavy manufacturing.
• Ability to read work instructions and mechanical blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components of wind turbines using hand tools, power tools, and overhead cranes.
• Follow detailed work instructions and engineering drawings to ensure accurate builds.
• Perform torquing, alignment, and fit-up of large components such as gearboxes, bearings, and shafts.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to improve assembly processes.
• Support other production areas as needed and as assigned by the supervisor.
