Job summary

Invenergy, North America’s largest privately held developer, owner, and operator of power infrastructure, seeks a Wind Technician for the Gunsight Mountain Wind Energy Center in Big Spring, TX. You will perform routine maintenance on GE turbines and climb towers daily in a safety-centric environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of technical experience; you must be able to work outdoors, lift heavy weights, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 year technical experience or education in mechanical/electrical.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights over 80 meters.
• Able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and not exceed 120 kg with gear.
• Valid driver’s license and US work authorization.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily with safety gear to inspect or repair.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of turbine components.
• Troubleshoot faults and repair/replace components.
• Maintain tooling, facilities, and a clean safety-focused environment.
• Work a 40-hour week with overtime during peak maintenance periods.
