Job summary

Invenergy, North America’s largest privately held developer, is seeking a Wind Technician for the Forward Wind Energy Center in Brownsville, WI. You will perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and related equipment, including climbing towers daily with safety gear.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of technical experience; you must be able to work outdoors in all weather, lift up to 100 pounds, and hold a valid driver’s

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
1 year of technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) or technical education.
Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and climb towers safely.
Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds (45 kg) and climb to heights.
Valid driver’s license and eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and associated equipment.
Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair/replace components as needed.
Maintain tooling, facilities and a clean, safe work environment.
Work a 40-hour week with scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
