Job summary

Pattern Energy is seeking an on-site wind plant technician responsible for operation, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines and related equipment. The role includes reading schematics, diagnosing issues, and performing preventive maintenance to meet safety and environmental standards.

Candidates should have 1 year of technical education or wind-industry experience, be able to climb tall towers, and be willing to travel to other wind sites in the U.S. or Canada.

Qualifications

• One year college or technical school certificate or 12 months of related experience or wind industry training.
• Ability to climb 80+ meter steel towers daily.
• Willing to travel to other wind sites within U.S. or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbines and related plant equipment.
• Read schematics to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
• Perform repairs or replacements following manufacturers' requirements.
• Comply with environmental health and safety programs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance per OEM and Pattern Energy practices.
• Prepare reports meeting wind plant reporting requirements.
